Public education for Fells Point and Canton is primarily under the management of Baltimore City Public Schools (BCPS). In total the district operates 180-plus campuses, serving more than 88,000 students. Public schools in Canton include Hampstead Hill Elementary and Canton Middle School. In Fells Point, the public system operates General Wolfe Elementary and Lombard Middle School. The brick buildings and nearby churches provide a stately ambience that adds to, but doesn’t discourage, the square’s fun nightlife activity.
